Here comes Santa Clause!

It was pretty important to me that Reagan have a picture with Santa Clause for her first Christmas. I don't know why exactly, I guess a picture of her so little on santa's lap is a one time thing! Seeing as how it costs $25 dollars for a picture and I can think of a million other ways to spend that money ,so we settled on a drive by on the fire truck! It was pretty cool, much more exciting to be surprised by santa on a fire truck than waiting in a long line for who knows how long!

18 weeks and still going strong!

We are still taking Reagan's weekly photo and I am getting more and more excited about it. I used 12 photos for a Christmas gift and it was so cool to see how much she grew in certain weeks!

Things have been more eventful, Reagan has started biting her bottom lip all the sudden(as seen above) and it drives me crazy! I am so afraid she is going to make it sore or something....She's going to give her self "duck lips" already!That is when you lick around your lips so much they get red and chapped. I had them when I was little. I'll have to see if I can dig up a picture. Needless to say, they are not pretty! Reagan is also grunting and growling like crazy, that also scares me! But the scariest thing of all is that she has always slept at least 6 or 7 hours at night and ever since we went to NY for 5 days she will not sleep for more than 2 1/2 hours! i've had a lot on my mind this week but certainly nothing we can't handle!
Reagan still hasn't rolled over...should I be worried? I'm working extra hard to get her excited about the idea!
Last week we celebrated Christmas with my family. My sister-in-law had the wonderful idea to do a nativity as a family since they hosted Christmas this year. It was a great idea! Little chaotic, lot of fun. She assigned our family as Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus. Baby Jesus wasn't havin it though....Reagan looked a little like Waldo in the big picture.

15 Weeks!

Oh my gosh, I can't believe I posted those previous pictures on here! Reagan would kill me if she saw them. It looks like I have a major obese baby! Time to post some new pictures! Reagan is going through so many changes this week.....She has been sucking on her fist for a while but now she sucks on her pointer finger and all the time. It's cute. Her legs are getting really strong! One night this week she was laying on her back and pushed her feet against the floor and arched her back off the ground. We thought she might flip over but it never happen, which is okay with me. She is growing up way to quick. Now that her legs are stronger when we try and sit her up, because she always wants to be up, she hops right to her feet. It's the cutest thing! I was trying to wash her back tonight and she refused to bend her knees :)

12 weeks already

My baby is sick... I got Reagan up from her nap this afternoon and found her nose all crusty, the noise she was making when she would breath...so sad! But how can you not be happy when your baby does this......despite the stuffy nose.

I don't know what's wrong with my camera, I swear it adds 10 pounds! :)

Happy Halloween

I did not post Reagan's 10 week photo's because I figured it would be nice to post something different. I did get them taken though for her 1st birthday project. 11 weeks and still going strong! We had a great 1st Halloween with her! Life (especially holidays) is so much more fun with little guys! She wouldn't move her hands because her new skill this week is sucking on her hands but her shirt says "Totally Wicked Cute"! Reagan was a Cow this year. The costume fit her perfect with her little puffy cheeks and thighs sticking out! She even held her frankenstein trick or treat basket....so sweet!

9 Weeks Now

So we took our sweet baby for her two month checkup and she weighed in at a healthy 13.5 lbs! Some people were guessing around 15lbs. so im happy she's not quite there yet! She is in the 99% for length and 96% for weight. Who would have ever thought! It's fun to see what she looks like now compared to her first week- They grow so fast!

Chris blessed Reagan this past week too. I will post pictures soon!

8 Weeks old

I took her 7 week photo but did not get it posted and so we move on. She is growing so fast!
We went to the pumpkin patch this past week! It was beautiful weather and Reagan loved it! Okay so the first picture isn't the most flattering of her :)

Just like daddy

I found this picture on the camera and had to post it. Ruth saved the sweetest pair of shoes that Chris had when he was a new baby. We couldn't wait to get them on Reagan. Rockin daddy's addidas!

It would have been perfect to have had a baseball shirt with red sleeves but you know I couldn't find one of those.

6 weeks old and growing!

It's Tuesday...5 Weeks old

When I pulled the blog up I saw that it says "The adventures of our life". I guess it's clear Reagan is our adventure right now! We are planning her first official road trip for the fall.
Our baby has all this hair. She needs a bow! I always wanted to know how bows stayed magically on little babies heads, so I did some e digging. I found the internet said you can use KY Jelly, which we don't have and I really didn't want to go out and buy, BUT I read that corn syrup worked too, which I did have!! It worked and her bows look super cute!!

I'm one month!

and it's exhausting!
She weighed in at a whopping 10lbs. 7oz.! The doctor was very enthusiastic and said I was doing a great job feeding her! We are playing lots of dress up because I have to make sure she gets to wear all her cute clothes!

Nothing is cuter than newborn jeans, or rather a newborn IN jeans, I think. I'll post a better picture when she wakes up.

3 Weeks old!

Check out the chunky chin and those long legs! This picture makes me laugh.

We can't believe our little girl is already three weeks old. I keep thinking about the things I did around the house to pass time while we were waiting for her( I colored days before she arrived, ha..and now we can't imagine life without her or having that kind of down time! This week we are starting to notice some changes. Her face looks more full and she gets a good grip with her hands on our fingers now, they are still tiny though! She is sleeping well most nights and is awake quite a bit during the day. Can't complain about that!

Reagan is finally here....

and I have to catch up. Suddenly everything else is not a priority. Not that I was good at bloging before I had her but now all I want to do is play with my baby! I know she is going to grow fast so I will update weekly and post the other things we want to share. Our little girl is two weeks old today! Time is going to fly with her, but I think it is safe to say we are soaking up every moment with her! She's a great baby and we are very blessed to have her!



We are going to take a weekly picture of her that I will post on Tuesdays so we can watch her grow!! Luckily she still looks like the same little girl we brought home from the hospital :) I took the weekly photo idea from my favorite blog younghouselove.

Last minute burst of energy!

So we started this blog so that we could share are road trips, which we are well over due on and also because I wanted to share the projects we do around the house. I have yet to post a single "Before & After" on the blog so here is our first. It's probably not entirely done yet but a vast improvement for our life style.
This is what our laundry room looked like except the one shelf had quite a lot of junk stacked on it!

So at 38 weeks prengant....I guess this was part of my "nesting", it was definitely my last burst of energy!(I painted, but Chris did everything else) This whole project sprung from needing a drawer in the kitchen to put bibs but we love the pop of color and added storage! I would like to cover the top two shelves and we need to add two more jars, but it is so much more fun to do laundry now!

Wow, where has the time gone!

I am 37 weeks pregnant and could have this little girl any day now! I am not sure why I have not posted ANYTHING since we found out it was a girl...Maybe because I was working on having some of the important(to me) details for her, trying to get Chris health, organizing the house, etc. It is almost annoying but I was everything to be perfect for her! I haven't posted them all but I have been really good about taking pictures of my growing belly every two weeks for her baby book. Im excited to have one things on my list checked off. Chris joined me in our 36 week photo :)

I hope to post pictures of the completed nursery soon! Just so you all know, I am trying to get Chris to post what he is up to since he is clearly not as preoccupied with the baby as I am! Yet anyway.

Exciting news....It's a girl!!!!!!!!!!

It has been quite an eventful week. It was like the anticipation of Christmas morning waiting to find out what we were having! It was fun beccause there's not much in life like that anymore. I couldn’t sleep, I was so anxious. We would have been thrilled with whatever the news was, but we both felt like it was a girl so it was cool that my (our) intuition was right. It just makes this whole idea of having a baby that much more real. It is our little girl!....and now comes all the planning and details to get ready for HER arrival. So I squeezed in a 20 week picture just in the nick of time. I only have four more weeks until I have my life back a can catch up with things around the house, get ready for graduation, and hopefully get a decent paycheck!

It definitely moved......

I have bubbles in my tummy! or atlease little fingers and toes!

I am having the best night. It's Friday..... I finally have sometime to relax, I was just checking out some sites....actually looking for nursery ideas! I also went to this blog I absolutley love- photographybyjennifer.net and found a new favorite song! So I have been listening to "Never Grow Up" by Taylor Swift (I'm not a huge fan of hers but it is the sweetest song)
Anyway, to the best part. Out of nowhere I felt what I would describe as little bubbles pop in my tummy. It was as if someone was knocking from the inside out. It is hard to put it into words, and I am a terrible writer, but I think it's important to remember moments like this! I always wondered about the unknown feeling of this thing inside of me. I thought it would scare me, but it was so cool! I felt what I would describe as three little bubbles poping in my stomach.....so cool.
Experiencing all this for the first time is so amazing and overwhelming! I'll keep you posted on other exciting events.

18 weeks- pop goes the weasel!

So in the last two weeks I have noticed some big changes! Chris came home from work last night and said "whoa, where did that belly come from!" that was exaclty what I was thinking. I feel like I just woke up the other day with a belly. It is fun just in the last few weeks to see how I am growing. We find out in a few weeks what it will be!! I am so excited to start planning the nursery, and hanging little clothes in the closet. I really have put the idea of a baby arriving on the back burner with student teaching and all. Chris and I got to see my new nephew the other weekend(cutest thing ever! I hope my babies are as cute as my niece and nephews)- it made me think about how we will have a baby of our own in only 5-6 months. Crazy!
Can't wait to post about the big ol 20 visit! Speaking of the cutest thing ever......

16 weeks

So I hate this picture- not the best, but it does capture the moment. I think this was taking when I got home from school. I have to say it kind of bites to have to student teach during all this. I feel like life is passing me by. I know it will all be worth it and once I'm done with school I can enjoy more things!
I'm pretty sure there is something in there now though!

14 weeks

So things really arn't moving that fast, sometimes I wonder if there is even anything in there! I am trying to post a picture every two weeks- it's hard enough to get those pictures and then there might be a little more change....Can't wait to see a real bumb!

Got Bumb? *Bump

So I am at the end of 12 weeks/begining 13. It is so hard to remember to take pictures. I had all these ideas of how a pregnancy would go....then reality hits, so I will do my best to keep up to date. I am not really showing, but my stomach is def. a little more swollen than it was a few months ago...ha. Atleast I would like think I was skinnier.
It will be fun to see my tummy grow so we can see the change I go though...
