A Halloween Tradition: Our Pumpkins

We did a little free hand carving this year....we are becoming more and more last minute kind of people.

Half way through September?!?

Where has the summer gone?! We have stayed very busy this summer and had a lot of fun,but we are so ready for fall!! We have made several trips to grandma's house which, at the last one, we picked up lots of apples and some awesome pumpkins! Nothing better than pumpkins to kick off the fall season!!Our house was the first one in the neighborhood to have a scarecrow! I have been making apple pies like nobody's business. We attended a cousins wedding and managed to get in a car accident on the way as if the wedding wasn't enough for the weekend! (It was not our fault...) Chris got in some kayaking/camping trips,we hit some Carolina beaches and even have a fenced back yard now! The weather is getting cooler and things SHOULD start to slow down......I don't think we would change anything (but the accident)because of all the memories we have made!


We got to see Jason, Linds, and Pea a lot this summer- I can't wait for that little peanut to get here!! This is us at Senior Frogs at Myrtle Beach! It was awesome to spent time with my cousin Zoe again, it had been way to long. I miss her already!!She supplied my dress for the wedding - I loved that dress!

Lindsey, Jason, Chris and Myself all kept Grandma company during the wedding. I think she had a really good time and we were happy to hang with her! Cutest lady ever, she says the funniest things.....


Grandma's 85 years old and I hope she's around for another 15 years...she will be if she can stay out of that candy bowl!! Love you Grandma!

Chris is pretty excited!

While Chris was out on the boat Saturday afternoon we woke us from our naps saying he had caught a fish that was worth seeing. I told dad he had to see it, told mom, etc. He hooked a 16 lb. 36" Muskie!! So here are the pictures......

Brown weekend at SML

So it is that time of year again!
All us Browns met at Chris' parents lake house at Smith Mountain Lake. We always have so much fun! This year wasn't the same though because we were missing a big part of our family:( Still, with all the people that meant there were a lot of cameras going around....so I only ended up with a few pictures on mine. No semioffical family photo this year. Hopefully next year we can all make it at the same time. I know the little boys love being there and we all love them being there just as much!
Lots of excited events for the family this weekend...the family is growing, chris caught a HUGE fish (that he's pretty sure he'll never catch again), and mom was the first to fall in the water! I think dad caught up on his naps for a while!

So you can tell it was a pretty casual weekend...we were lucky to get showers in, but as always it was fun and everyone is looking forward to next year!! I love memories like these and am so grateful that we are able to do this. K and M you guys better be there next year! I love family!

4 Years Later...

Happy Anniversary Sweetheart!!!
It dosen't seem like it has been 4 years since we said "I Do". Time goes by so fast. I am so grateful to have you in my life- all the laughts and memories! I love our weekend getaways, DIY projects, fishing trips, nature outings (spring & fall, and traditions we have created. I want you to know I appreciate all the details you remember everyday, and your love and support! I wouldn't want to spend my life with anyone else!

Looking back over those past years we have had a lot of adventures and I can't wait for all the rest to come!! 50 years here we come.....

Some free time!

So this past weekend Chris went to the lake to help his dad put up drywall. No problem I can find something to occupy my time! I have had several crafts I want to get done, and haven't had the time to do them. So I was able to COMPLETE two. Complete is the key word....I have so many half way done! Pretty proud of myself for finishing and think they both turned out pretty cute!

Spring Break 2010

We were sick of the snow.....so we loaded up our car and headed south!It took 16 hours to get to Fort Myers but it was completely worth the drive!


The weather was perfect for the most part. It was sunny, 70's with a nice breeze. Next time we go we will definetly go early spring!You could stay on the beach all day...and we did. We went to Venice beach(Casperson beach) and found shark teeth, Snibel Island and found shells gaalor, Fort myers beach and found a bunch of spring breakers...so we left. We wnt to an estate sale and all we found was an alagator. We made sure we tried homemade Key Lime Ice cream, got a florida snow shovel and chris some new swimtrunks!














This trip was just what we needed! It was so warm and relaxing. The water was crystal clear the pictures don't do justice! We can't wait to go back!Be back soon Florida!

The BLIZZARD of 2010!!!!!!!
